The Many Options to Dieting and Successful Weight Loss
This post is going to discuss four different approaches to weight loss that might just work for you. We have a classic fad, the medical provider in control, the eliminating our body of parasites and worms, and the natural approach to healthy products.
The Good Ole’ Fad Diet
Remember all the old fashioned fad diets? Let’s see there is the Cabbage Soup Diet. Based on very low calorie cabbage that you ate for seven days. And man when you were done with the seven days it made you sick to smell the stuff. It had the hype of allowing you to lose 10 lbs. in one week. Yeah right. Here is the diet that was used:
Beverages are limited to water, and unsweetened fruit juice on days when fruit is allowed. This is a typical outline of the diet
* Day 1 – Cabbage soup plus as much fruit as you like, excluding bananas
* Day 2 – Cabbage soup plus vegetables including 1 jacket potato with a little butter
* Day 3 – Cabbage soup plus fruit and vegetables excluding potatoes and bananas
* Day 4 – Cabbage soup plus up to eight bananas and as much skimmed milk as you like
* Day 5 – Cabbage soup plus up to 20 ounces of beef and up to six tomatoes
* Day 6 – Cabbage soup plus as much beef and vegetables (excluding potatoes) as you like
* Day 7 – Cabbage soup plus brown rice, vegetables (excluding potatoes) and unsweetened fruit juice
Then there was the Grapefruit Diet that was popular in the 70’s and had close connections to the Mayo clinic which was a farce because the Mayo Clinic stated it was a very dangerous diet. Some trivia associated to it is:
* Comedy singer “Weird Al” Yankovic has recorded a song called “Grapefruit Diet,” a parody of the song “Zoot Suit Riot,” on his album Running with Scissors.
* Hollywood actor James Cagney’s character “Lefty” dreams up the 18-day “Grapefruit Diet” as a way to pay back investors in the 1933 comedy movie “Hard to Handle”.
* Rapper Styles P referred to this diet “Leave niggas thinner than a grapefruit diet” in the stopp skeemin’ freestyle.
Then there was the Scarsdale Diet (1979) that was really successful until Dr. Tarnower was murdered by his long time lover Jean Harris and then it kind of faded away. It wasn’t a bad diet though he looked pretty emaciated to me.
Well now we are stepping up and there is a newer diet out that is faddish but I’ve used it and it works. It has been passed around the NICU in San Diego and everyone has benefited from it. It is Fat Loss 4 Idiots. And it works. Everyone lost weight from it and you can pass around the password to get it started so everyone can use it. You can customize the food, print out each day since it is a download and lose 11 lbs in a couple of weeks. Try it out it is harmless, no starving, no one food choices and no murderer associated to it.

I think probably the wisest way to diet would be to use a professional as your consultant. There are professional weight loss programs like Weight Watchers who I’ve tried but not with a lot of success. I wasn’t crazy going to the meetings and hearing everyone else’s weight problems, but that is me.
There is Jenny Craig but hey look at Kristy Alley if you want to see some long term results. I know when I tried them years ago I gained back the weight. Doesn’t mean it was them as much as it was me.
As I spent days looking over various diet options to show you all, I came across this site that is researched and studied by UCLA and Kaiser Hospital. It is a 12 week online program that costs $10.00 a week, a free trial and has a live consultant you can use and teaches you about emotional eating, stopping the binge eating, cravings, and bad habits. It’s more of a psychological makeover instead of a diet diet. I was incredible impressed with this diet program. It felt like a real solution and not a fad or misleading. You have to check these guys out, I think they can make a big difference in how you think about food and why you make poor choices, like me, about eating.

Gross Stuff About Your Insides
There is a belief, and I am one of the believers, (probably because I’m a nurse) that there are parasites living inside you that are causing you to gain weight and or not be successful with dieting. Maybe the reason you Can’t Lose Weight has nothing to Do With Your Will-Power, Over-Eating or the Right Diet! … The Reason You are Fat and Unhealthy MIGHT BE Because You Have Disgusting Plaque and Horrible Little ‘CRITTERS’ Living in Your Guts!”
Gad, this sounds gross,something living inside me eating away at the walls of my intestines getting larger and fatter by the minute and making me feel like crap all the time.
I Googled various websites that discussed this possibility and came across a website that is owned by a provider who wrote an ebook about taking control of your insides and vacating the creatures who are living there and not paying rent. The pictures are gross, the video is way too real but she shows a solution to this and I think we can all benefit from a thorough cleansing.
